Through the “Strengthening the human rights and social participation of marginalised groups in Bangladesh with specific focus on women and girls (HOPE)”Project which is Funded by- NETZ Bangladesh & BMZ & Duration Period January 2024 to June 2027 year, From Community level Young & Adult 3364 Persons strengthened human rights defenders (HRDs) from community level Adult & Young and 497 representatives of public authorities work effectively together to strengthen the rights, resources and representation of women, girls and minority groups in the working Districts Bogra & Gaibandha and at the national level. Comprehensive capacity building of Human Rights Defenders from local to national level and partner NGOs, their networking and advocacy work as well as the creation of sustainable, institutionalised cooperation mechanisms between civil society and state agencies contribute to strengthening the human rights and social participation of marginalised groups. The Human Rights Defenders from the programme districts systematically share their experiences with state and civil society representatives at national and international level via a national HRD platform. Strengthening Human Rights Defenders capacity in methods of conflict sensitive democratic dialogue with public authorities and their context-specific use contributes directly to strengthening civil society’s scope for action.
