Enhancing Resources and Increasing Capacities of Poor House-holds Towards Elimination of their Poverty (ENRICH) Funded by PKSF.
People’slivelihoods, poverty and development are multidimensional. Therefore, it is not possible to significantly reduce poverty through microcredit alone, let alone achieve sustainable socio-economic progress. Various studies show that more than 10 percent of poor microfinance borrowers have not been able to rise above the poverty line. To truly eradicate poverty, it is necessary to adopt integrated programs that address other aspects of the lives and livelihoods of poor people, including healthcare, nutrition, education, training, awareness-raising, infrastructure, and financial activities.
Of course, needs-based financing is an important part of this integrated program. In line with this line of thinking, in early 2010, the donor agency PKSF outlined an integrated program called the "Prosperity Program" for people-centered integrated development.
