Pollisree has been implementing the “Eradication of extreme poverty and hunger in structurally disadvantaged areas of Bangladesh” (DABI) project at Kaharole and Biral upazilla under Dinajpur district funded by NETZ and BMZ since 01 July 2018 to 31 December 2021. The project objective is eradication of extreme poverty (SDG 1) and hunger (SDG 2) in Bangladesh. At present, there are 1,400 targeted ultra poor rural women beneficiaries of the project with less than 1805 kcal daily nutritional intake and on an average income less than Tk. 1500 per capita per month. The major activities of the project are: providing productive assets, disaster management knowledge and skills to the beneficiaries. The food security of 6,000 extreme poor people is permanently improved. They can sustainably meet their nutritional needs and claim their basic economic, social and cultural rights.
