Pollisree is a local Non-Governmental organization was established in February 1987. Organization mainly working for the distressed poor, and the landless masses. The government of Bangladesh expects that the country will be freed from hunger by 2030, if the productivity can be further increased. But it has to been ensured that an increased productivity goes along with an improved access to nutritious food for all people. In keeping with the motto ‘Leave no one behind’ (Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs), the central challenges are to include people who have been so far excluded from development initiatives. This includes making the existing social safety net more functional, governmental services more accessible, strengthening the resilience of the of the most disadvantaged people and adequately recognising the rights of the indigenous and landless population, e.g. in regard to the use of land and natural resources.
